After MBA entrances comes Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). These two check for the student’s communication skills and also for an element of spontaneity. Some MBA institutes like IIFT and XLRI also conduct a written essay round to get a hang of the student’s written and analytical skills. Some, on the other hand, test students on General Knowledge and Current Affairs, too.
A good score in an MBA entrance doesn’t ensure that a student will get through the top notch B school. B schools not only want academically sound people, but they also look for students with impeccable communication skills. After all, for a managing profile, one must be a clear and a crisp speaker.
